Del Maguey Vida Single Village Mezcal 'Puebla'
Del Maguey Vida Single Village Puebla is the newest expression in the Del Maguey lineup — a single village mezcal from the volcanic foothills of Popocatepetl, the active volcano south of Mexico City known as the Smoking Mountain, bringing the heritage of Vida's traditional production philosophy to the distinctly different terroir of Puebla's volcanic mineral environment.
Ripe Espadin agave grown at the base of Popocatepetl is roasted underground in the traditional earth oven, naturally fermented in the local environment that is rich with volcanic minerals, and twice distilled in small copper stills. The volcanic mineral terroir of Puebla produces a different character than the Sierra Sur mountain Espadin of the standard Vida — more volcanic and mineral-forward, with the terroir of one of Mexico's most iconic active volcanoes contributing to the spirit's character. Designed as an accessible entry point to Del Maguey's portfolio and cocktail-versatile like the original Vida, while bringing a new volcanic terroir to the range.
