The bottling combines two of Charles Heidsieckâs strongest traditions: the production of great white wines and the art of blending across multiple terroirs and vintages. In 1851, young Charles Heidsieck founded his own Champagne house in Reims and traversed the United States promoting the brand â earning him the nickname âChampagne Charlie.â There is also evidence that the Maison produced mono-crus from the CĂŽte des Blancs as early as 1906. The houseâs defining stylistic pillar in white wines is Grand Cru Chardonnay from Oger in the CĂŽte des Blancs.
