Champagne Gosset Champagne Brut Grand Millésime
Champagne Gosset Brut Grand Millésimé is the vintage cuvée of Gosset — the oldest wine house in Champagne, founded in Aÿ in 1584 — a Pinot Noir–led vintage Brut with bright clear yellow-gold color, fresh and expressive aromas of hawthorn, lilac, wild white flowers and stone fruit, and a citrus-driven palate.
The Grand Millésimé is produced only in years particularly favorable to Pinot Noir, when the variety shows good maturity, fruit, and body. Gosset’s reputation for excellence starts on the vines: its champagnes are composed almost entirely of grapes from Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards. Unlike most Champagne producers, Gosset purposely avoids malolactic fermentation and always performs riddling and disgorging of prestige cuvées and large-format bottles by hand. Vintage cuvées are kept in deep cellars for at least 5 years before release.
