Banhez Cuishe Joven Mezcal Artesanal

Banhez Cuishe Joven is a 100% wild cuishe agave mezcal artesanal from the Banhez co-operative in Oaxaca — produced in limited quantities due to the scarcity of this agave. An incredibly easy-sipping mezcal with the tropical fruitiness, acidic dryness, and herbaceous notes that cuishe is known for.

Banhez is produced by Integradora Comercial de Ejutla, a co-operative of 36+ families in San Miguel Ejutla, Oaxaca, committed to sustainable, fair-trade mezcal made as it has been for nearly two centuries — underground wood-fired pits, donkey-pulled stone tahonas, wooden-tank fermentation, and small-batch copper distillation.
