Tapatio Reposado Tequila
Tapatio Reposado Tequila is the reposado expression from Tapatio — a Mexican cult favorite for over 80 years, made with 100% estate-grown blue agave from the highlands of Jalisco. Agave piñas are harvested by jimadores, slowly baked for 4 days, crushed to extract the mosto, fermented by an 80-year-old yeast culture, double-distilled in Tequilano pot stills, then rested in used Jim Beam American oak barrels for the reposado aging period. Imported to the US by Charbay.
The American oak barrel aging adds vanilla, caramel, and toasted-spice character to the underlying estate-grown agave structure. Tapatio Reposado was introduced to the US alongside the Añejo in 2013 and remains one of the most respected small-production reposado tequilas available.
