Spirit of Hven Hvenus Rye Whisky is a rye whisky from Spirit of Hven — one of the world’s smallest commercial pot still distilleries, located on the island of Hven in the Öresund strait between Denmark and Sweden. Everything from mashing and fermentation through distilling, maturation, and bottling is carried out on site, with an emphasis on local raw materials and long fermentation across a variety of yeast strains.

The island of Hven is rich in agricultural heritage, surrounded by some of Sweden’s best producers of agricultural products. Spirit of Hven’s small-format pot stills, with shell-and-tube condensers, are designed to give the right surface area of copper and reflux for a distinctive combination of scent and taste. Hvenus is the distillery’s rye whisky expression.
