Sazerac Rye traces its roots to the saloons and coffee houses of 1800s New Orleans — including the iconic Sazerac Coffee House on Royal Street, where the Sazerac cocktail was born. Buffalo Trace produces it today using a low-rye mashbill (corn-leaning by rye standards), which softens the grain assertiveness and brings out the brand’s signature sweet-spice balance.
