Rebel 100 Proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Rebel 100 Proof is a higher-proof version of the original Rebel wheated Kentucky Straight Bourbon — handcrafted to a recipe dating back to 1849, when the original was invented at what would later become the Stitzel-Weller Distillery. The 100 proof bottling takes the wheated bourbon to another level with prominent sweetness and added heat, while retaining smoothness, honey, and dried fruit notes.

Although many famous bourbons (including Pappy Van Winkle) were produced at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery, they all shared one unique characteristic pioneered by William Laurel Weller himself: instead of rye, the bourbons used wheat as a secondary grain in their mashbill, lending a softer, smoother flavor to the whiskey. In 1936, former Louisville Mayor Charles F. Farnsley officially registered the "Rebel Yell" brand, distilling limited batches for exclusive distribution in the southern United States until the 1980s, when Stitzel-Weller was disbanded and Rebel found its way to LUXCO. The brand is now available nationwide for the first time.
