Jefferson’s Presidential Select 16 Year Twin Oak Straight Bourbon Batch 1 is a limited expression bottled in extremely limited quantities — only 10,000 bottles produced worldwide. The whiskey is fully matured for 10 years in new charred American oak, then transferred to brand new charred oak barrels for an additional 6 years — the “Twin Oak” double-barrel aging process that gives the expression its name and produces an unusually concentrated wood-derived character.

Founded in 1997, Jefferson’s is the brainchild of Trey Zoeller and his father Chet, a famed bourbon historian, continuing a family tradition dating back to 1799. The Jefferson’s ethos draws on Thomas Jefferson’s curiosity and experimental spirit. The Twin Oak Batch 1 represents the inaugural release of this approach — sequential maturation in two separate new charred oak barrels rather than a single barrel for the full duration, with each barrel contributing distinct oak character to the finished bourbon.
