Harlen Davis Wheatley CLIX is an ultra-premium small-batch vodka distilled 159 times — the project of Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Davis Wheatley to craft the perfect vodka. CLIX is Roman for 159; only 2,000 bottles have ever been produced.

The project drew on soft red winter wheat, plump rye, yellow dent corn, and malted barley. Over more than a year, 28,400 gallons of mash were distilled 159 times through a custom-designed series of copper and stainless steel stills, yielding just 332 gallons — enough for roughly 2,000 bottles. After distillation, the vodka rested 12 months in cool, dark stainless steel tanks for the smoothest finish. Bottled in a custom lead-free crystal decanter by Nouvel Studio with a reusable crystal stopper, housed in a handcrafted burl wood case. From Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky.
