Crown Royal Cask 16 is a discontinued limited release from Crown Royal — a blend of 50 Canadian whiskies finished in Cognac Limousin oak casks, representing one of the earliest and most ambitious cask-finishing experiments in the Crown Royal portfolio before its discontinuation in 2012, and a collector's whisky for those who want to experience a chapter of Crown Royal's history that can no longer be produced.

Cask 16 predates the current Crown Royal XO (which also uses cognac cask finishing) and was one of Crown Royal's first forays into the cask-finished category. The Cognac Limousin oak casks — from the Limousin forest in central France, famous for producing tight-grained oak prized by both Cognac and whisky producers — impart vanilla, stone fruit, and subtle spice complexity to the 50-whisky Canadian blend. Now discontinued, bottles of Cask 16 represent a finite supply that cannot be restocked.
