Casco Viejo Tequila Reposado
Casco Viejo Tequila Reposado is from the Camarena family in Arandas, Jalisco β a multi-generational tequila family operating the same estate grounds since the 1830s. Made entirely from Blue Weber agave grown in the Los Altos highlands (around 7,000 ft above sea level), with the iron- and clay-rich red soil, hot daytime sun exposure, and cool nighttime breezes that the region is known for. Aged in oak to deliver classic Reposado oak integration with the underlying highland agave character.
The Camarena family is vertically integrated, owning 18 fields of agave. Casco Viejo also operates a patented production process called Zero D, which integrates recycling into all aspects of the tequila-making process. Agave is cooked in traditional brick furnaces, fermented in wooden vats, and double-distilled in traditional copper pot stills.
