Bodegas Tradicion Brandy de Jerez

Bodegas Tradición Brandy de Jerez is a Spanish brandy from Bodegas Tradición in Jerez de la Frontera — the successor bodega to one of the oldest sherry houses on record, J.M. Rivero (founded 1650, by appointment to the Royal Houses of Spain and Portugal). The modern Bodegas Tradición was founded in 1998 by Joaquín Rivero to continue the family’s 350-year sherry and brandy heritage.

Brandy de Jerez is the protected Spanish brandy of the sherry region, aged exclusively in seasoned American oak butts that have previously held sherry. Bodegas Tradición sources only the finest soleras available, in the same tradition as the original J.M. Rivero — the result is a brandy with deep sherry-cask influence (oloroso, fino, and palo cortado depending on the bottling) layered over the underlying eau-de-vie.
