Black Dirt Distillery 3 Year Old New York Bourbon Whiskey

Black Dirt 3 Year New York Bourbon is a 3-year-aged Hudson Valley bourbon distilled from corn grown in the dark, fertile “black dirt” soil of upstate New York — left behind by an ancient glacial lake and never used for bourbon production until Black Dirt Distillery. Notes of caramel, toffee, cinnamon, and vanilla with touches of roasted corn, nuts, and honey, balanced by a touch of spicy rye.

Black Dirt Distilling, LLC was formed in March 2012 to meet the demand for Black Dirt Bourbon and Black Dirt Apple Jack, born at the Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery. A 4,000 sq. ft. distillery with a 60-foot column was completed in Pine Island, NY in 2013, and now produces over 60 barrels of whiskey or apple jack per week. Founders Jason Grizzanti and Jeremy Kidde — New York State’s first micro-distillers — also produce the American Fruits brandy/liqueur line and Warwick gin.
