Bendistillery Black Butte 5 Year American Malt Whiskey is distilled from Deschutes Brewery’s Black Butte Porter wash and aged five years in new #4-char American oak barrels — a whiskey like no other, opening with toffee and caramel, hitting the mid-palate with dark malt and rich chocolate, and finishing on tobacco, leather, and lingering oak.
Bendistillery is one of Oregon’s first micro-distillers, founded in 1996 on a 24-acre farm in Bend, Oregon. The 5-year Black Butte expression takes the same Black Butte Porter base of the brand’s younger malt whiskey and gives it extended deep-char barrel maturation for additional oak integration and depth.
